Blues University® has announced the date of the Winter 2010 Chicago Blues Tour. The tour, celebrating its 20th Anniversary Year, connects 8 of Chicago’s famous lounges featuring 10 live blues bands and many special guests all night long, on Sat., Jan. 16th. Tickets are $45, with various earlybird, group, and advance discounts available via www.chicagobluestour.com — see the website for discount deadlines and restrictions.
Shuttle buses run between the participating venues, which feature Chicago’s most famous musical export, the blues. Tickets are available through this website — click this link for more info, or to purchase tickets now. Maps, schedules, and the answers to Frequently Asked Questions are also updated as information is received. Tourgoers are advised to read the Frequently Asked Questions list, as well as to sign up for the email list at the website in order to receive tour updates and instructions. The downtown “hub” of the tour will be Lizzie McNeil’s, 400 N. McClurg Court, in Chicago’s River North area near Navy Pier. To purchase tickets via phone, using Ticketweb, call toll-free 866-468-3401after December 1st, and ask for the “Chicago Blues Tour Winter 2010″. Tickets purchased by Jan. 6 will be sent by mail, all Ticketweb purchases after that date will be considered “will-call” tickets and will incur a will-call surcharge.
